How to stop hair fall in men

Mushroom

Dried mushroom plays a pivotal role in the growth of healthy hair. 100 grams of dried mushrooms contains 157 micrograms of biotin. Normal mushrooms contain only 94 micrograms of Biotin. Every day we need only 30 micrograms of Biotin. Biotin is the protein that makes hair healthy and helps to stop hair fall in men. Due to deficiency of biotin, hair becomes dry and starts falling rapidly. There is no benefit in taking 4 days of Biotin in 1 day. (1)

Beans

Beans contain a large amount of iron and it is important for the growth of hair. Iron is easily available to non-vegetarian people. Because women have periods, they need a lot of iron compared to men. 15 mg throughout the day whereas men only need 10 mg. If there is a deficiency of iron, then the hair fall will not reduce. Many people do not know that it is necessary to take vitamin C along with iron, it helps the body to absorb iron. So, squeeze lemon on the beans or drink a glass of orange juice.

Why hair fall happens

There are three phases of hair growth.

Anagen phase: In this phase hair grows 1cm every month and 85% of hair remains in this stage. This stage lasts for 2 to 6 yrs.

Catagen phase: In this phase hair growth stops. 1% of the hair on our head remains always in this phase. This stage lasts for 2 to 3 weeks.

Telogen phase: In this phase, hair fall starts. About 15% of our hair remains in this stage. 50 to 100 hairs fall every day and new hairs keep growing in their place.

Reason for hair fall

Genetic– This may be hereditary which means after one age if your father’s hair fall starts, then there is a possibility that same might happen with the next generation.

Increasing age– As Age increases, hair becomes thinner. This is normal.

Health issues– In some disease’s hair fall increases, which is natural. Because your body reserves nutrients for good health, in such cases nails and hair are not a priority.

After delivery – The Harmon level starts increasing during pregnancy and so hair becomes very fine and thick. After delivery hormone level decreases, so hair fall increases.

The side effect of Medicine– If you’re taking any medicine, hair fall might be the side effect of that medicine

Lack of Nutrition– Hair fall may be due to a lack of nutrients e.g., Iron, Protein, and Zinc. In this case, consult your health experts for taking multivitamins.

Thyroid– If you have a thyroid issue, it might be the cause of hair fall.

 

Note:

50 to 100 hair falls a day is considered a normal range. If even more hair falls, then kindly consult with your doctor. Because the doctor knows better which possibility is applicable for you.
