What are causes of acidity

Do you know what are causes of acidity? If yes or no here is the answer for you. Excessive production of Hydrochloric acid in the stomach are the causes of acidity and develops acidic stomach.

What are the causes of acidity

When we chew the food, it reaches our stomach in pieces, where acid is showered on it from all sides. A lot of strong acids is needed to digest food. When our stomach is empty, then the pH value of our gastric juice reaches up to one. That means it is more acidic than lemon juice and vinegar and as dangerous as a battery. Whatever comes in its grip, it melts, not only food, it also has the power to melt bones. Although it has to melt only proteins and carbohydrates.

Basically, gastric juices present under the gastric lining react with each other and become dangerous hydrochloric acid. The stomach also has to protect itself from this. For this, he makes an alkaline layer of mucus on his lining. There are three layers of muscles surrounding the abdomen. These muscles work to mix the food present in the stomach. This food then reaches the small intestine, its opening part is called the duodenum. Here, the food gets certain hormones and digestive fluids, which reach here from the pancreas. This ensures that the food is neutralized.

It can take a total of eight hours for the food to be digested after a meal. It also depends on what you have eaten. When you eat fried or very spicy food, the body makes more gastric acid. The same happens with coffee and wine. If you are eating this type of food continuously, then the acid regulation of your stomach gets disturbed forever. In such a situation, you constantly have the problem of acidity and gas.

The gastric juices produced in the stomach enter the food pipe. That’s why you get sour belching, there is a burning sensation in the chest. The work of the stomach is only to digest food. But it is also directly related to our minds. It is always in contact with the brain through the vagus nerve. When the stomach is empty, it sends a message to the brain to bring food, it is hungry. Similarly, what is going on in the mind affects the stomach.
